I've just been watching Alex Eala from the Philippines beat the defending champion Iga Swiatek in 2 sets.

Thrilling for Eala , very disappointing for poor Swiatek.

So Serena and Venus have withdrawn.

I watched Arthur Fiery play who won to the 3rd round but haven’t heard about him since. Does anyone know if he is still playing?

I am a fan of Ugo Humbert too NanKate.I follow him all through the year and like him because he rarely if ever gets angry or stressed and just seems very enthusiastic about his matches. I was so sorry he lost to Bergs in the first round. He appears to be a very likeable character and loves the British spectators and playing here.

I love to watch Alcaraz, hope he doesn't get too many injuries in future as he is so entertaining to watch.
It would be good if Novak won his 25 GrandSlams, one match at a time,he'll need a bit of luck but that would be magnificent to see.

Oh yes. My favourite player ever.

Just watched Djokovic game , such a nail biter, he surely is a champion. Such an entertaining match . The French man with the unFrench name, Rinderknech, has a killer serve, never heard of him before. Like others I have lost touch, all the familiar players superseded by younger ones, unknowns to me. As I do not have any sports channels like Skye, I do not get the chance to follow the sport these days unfortunately.

I do hope Djocovic makes it through the next round. I never much enjoy women’s tennis , it seems so slow.

I miss Rafa too NanKate and think he’s greatly missed on the tennis circuit.

Grigor plays again on Saturday. Last year at Wimbledon he was two sets up against Sinner when he suffered a pectoral injury and had to retire.

I still miss RAFA, no one better imo. 👍

Two of my favourite players, I don’t want anyone to lose, but in this case I must hope Grigor wins, especially after his horrible injury last year against Sinner. Hope it’s a good match, and not too hot for them.

I didn’t remember that injury but was gunning for him last night ( I just channel hop and watch whatever pops up). When is Dimitrovs next match? I don’t want to miss it! I’m not very familiar with many of the players these days since. Oh heck. Someone else is crying now; it means so much to them, doesn’t it. I want everybody to win…

They had someone doing this for Novaks match too but I hadn’t seen it before.
I do like some of the commentators but I think we get enough as it is.
