Does anyone else dread having to buy clothes for a wedding? I've got a wedding and a trip to the races this June so I'm having to buy clothes I don't usually wear. Thus far I've spent a fortune [although a lot of items are from the internet and I shall probably return them]. I've just been to a 'second hand designer shop' and spent even more [can't return those but I was very careful with what I bought]. My mutant feet can't wear nice shoes, either, so that's another problem. Mind you, today I bought a Chanel type jacket and I think that will get a lot of wear over the years. Going to dig a hat out of the wardrobe that doesn't fit any more [with my hair getting so thin; I don't think my head can shrink, can it?] because the shop said I could buy velcro form a milliners that will pad it out. I've ordered some silk dresses from Patra, but not sure what the fit will be like [could be a bit frumpy?].

...til I sit on them....The shoes I bought for my daughters wedding still feel ok, it's just that I can't walk in them [can't do heels].

. So can cross those off the list now.
