The guest point is interesting, we have various relatives who freeze through choice, not poverty, and then complain because no-one wants to visit. Whereas I always crank up the heating if we have visitors and we all end up in t-shirts and I have to turn it back down. Maybe if I wore a onesie when next we stay with FiL he will be so appalled that he will turn the heating up.

I never thought I would wear a onesie, but got a wolf one for a fancy dress party - I wear it quite often it keeps me really snug the dog chases my tail though !

I really dislike kids in their onesies out at the shops or in public. Last week I saw a man with two young boys in onesies in Asda café. The previous day I had seen a man with a boy coming out of the corner shop complete with dressing gown and slippers. What message does it give the kids if they think its ok to go out dressed in nightwear. After all it does not take any time to slip on a jogging suit etc to take the kids out. It doesn't help if they see their mums on a sunday in jama bottoms in
Asda too .

What is it with some adults going shopping in nightware, it's frankly bizarre!
Not that I have ever seen this myself, but there was a programme on radio 4 last year about it, the Tesco in the town [can't remember where it was] had banned people in nightwear, so there were more than one or two. They were all women by the way, and the security guard said they couldn't understand what was wrong.Also a local Headmaster said that Mothers were dropping children at the school, and they [the Mothers] were still in nightwear and slippers, even the ones that had walked to school.Are people REALLY so lazy [and shameless] that they will go out like this?

The onesie has replaced the track suit and the shell suit.

Exactly my feelings rosesared, I think they are horrid. Maybe that Saga lady was talking about those terrible pensioner blankets that they advertise, you know the ones with legs and arms? Ghastly polyester things that make you sweat and fester yuck and then when you jump up to answer the phone you fall over and break a hip?

Many years ago when DH and I were young and slim and thought we looked terrific, he was a submariner, and they were going North one winter. He got his cold weather gear issued, including a very sexy oiled wool polo neck sweater. BUT....her was also issued woollen long johns - the original onesie. I insisted he try one on, and I've never seen a garment turn a good looking bloke into something unspeakable, like the long johns did!! I laughed my head off, he scratched himself all over, took the thing off, and never ever wore it again!!

I was bought one for Christmas and I initially thought no way! I have tried it though and found it very comfy. My daughter says I look cute in it ??

My granny used to wear combinations (combies). I don't remember that she ever did anything so common as go to the loo. Perhaps she had hollow legs.

As the onesies is little loose so, its feel very comfortable wearing it, but there are many different varieties available and sometimes I am confused which type of shoes to wear on it, some times the shoes does not match on it. One day I have wore Gel lyte iii shoes with it.

Car packed. Off to open up the caravan tomorrow. Have packed my fleecy jim jams and my onesie.

Dear Bikergran,
Got back this evening off again Wednesday or Thursday. Had the most tremendous row with Argos customer services - delivered new fridge to caravan but refused to take the old one away even though I had paid extra for the service. Had to move the old one myself but managed to get it down the verandah steps and into the shed. Want something really heavy moving - I know get the OAP with angina to do it! Just fired off the most horrendous email to them and am awaiting a response.
Biker Gran I lost my DH some years ago, and we used to caravan together for many years, I tried to keep it up but only managed a few months, it was just too raw. I tried again last year, and although I still have a few wobbles it's almost OK. I wouldn't have a holiday if I didn't have the caravan, I hadn't been away for the previous 7 years.

Sorry Cornflake only just seen your reply....sounds like your trying your best to enjoy! good for you, and your little home on wheels, Isn't it lovely just to see a bit of different scenery, we used to like going down to Wales, we started caravanning quite late, in fact prob a bit too late where DH health was concerned.But we had a good few outings....keep it up !
