Age spots

I agree that Clinique Even Better Skin Corrector is expensive, if that's the product you mean. But I use it alternate nights on age spots on my face and hands and though they haven't disappeared, they aren't noticeable. Works for me.

All I would suggest is that you don't waste any money on products which claim to fade age spots like Clinique. They are expensive and don't work. Using foundation, good concealer and blusher on your cheeks (depends where the age spot is-mine is halfway between my mouth and jawbone, so the blusher trick helps) will diminish it. A good lippy and maybe a bit of eye make up might also detract from it.
Finally I would suggest that other people probably don't notice it as much as you do!

Yes, it is. But my friend is living proof that it works! It depends on how broke and desperate you are, and whether you are willing to experiment. It's fine on the backs of my hands. I think the one I use is a red packet. I wouldn't advise using the extra strength one.

In fact I think the information leaflet specifically states that it's unsuitable for use on healthy skin, birth marks etc. and the face.

Or, if you don't mind looking slightly odd for a few days, you can kill it off yourself with Bazooka gel. It gradually kills off the top layer of skin so that it peels off. You would have to do it a few times and always keep it covered with sun lotion, or you could make it worse, and never do it in the summer. Now is the best time to do it, because of the lack of sun. I say slightly odd, because you end up with a layer of white on your face for a few days, so need to find a spot cover or good concealer.

A friend told me about it, and I have been using it on my hands. I do have to repeat it every winter, they do seem to come back, so maybe grannyknot's idea is best for you.

Jeannie I had one of those on my cheek zapped with IPL. Look it up on Google, it cost about 100£ but it was worth it. It didn't disappear but is so light or pale now that it no longer bothers me and that's all I wanted.

It's a bit sore (the treatment) - like being pinged with a strong rubber band, but it doesn't take long.
