I have never had a pedicure or toenails painted by someone else; I was thinking of it for this summer but I have ticklish feet and I didn't think about that. It would be embarrassing to kick out and knock the pots of varnish all over the salon

The trouble with Summer is that there is so much on show!

I have dared to shave ankles and toes and ironed linen trousers today. So the weather is bound to take a turn for the worse, sorry.

Knees were seen on the golf course this week - not mine at best its pedal pushers I don't have figure for skorts or shorts. I am mauve all over but going for first pedicure of the year on Thursday after having had a good go at the chiropodist last week.

Soontobe. I take my own nail varnish, which I have had for 3 years because I only paint my toenails in colour. I like Dior's Rouge Noir because it goes with everything. But Dior also do a lovely grey pinky beige which is ideal if you want a subdued look.
My legs are like two milk bottles on the step and are a bigger problem than feet. If I put on fake tan it sort of highlights blemishes as well. Leg make up looks great till you rub on something. I have given up waxing, as too painful and stick to Veet. Talk about age bringing high maintenance issues.

Dare I get up to the loft and get the bags of summer clothes down? Or will it precipitate another Ice Age or a flood of Biblical proportions?

I haven't got as far as painting my toenails yet but this is the first day I have had my summer 7/8ths light weight trousers and fit flops on. Glad to get out of jeans and ankle boot mode.

Do you get to choose the colour?
Are there "in" colours?

Cannot get to my own feet easily. Plus she puts on primer, 3 coats of varnish and a sealant. They will look good for about 6/8 weeks, so tie in with holidays planned.

She needs to put her foot down with a firm hand then?Must admit to not being brave enough, I do a pedicure myself(it's impossible to tickle your own foot, I wonder why?)Feet always look nice with shaped and varnished toenails in sandals, so well worth it!
