Having posted on the thread about moisturisers, I have far more difficulty finding a good cleanser and have tried so many over the years. I tend to use facial wipes now, but I don't feel they take all my make up off.

What do you use ?

Nothing blush. I work on the basis that the little I wear is gone by bedtime and then I use a facial wash in the shower in the morning!

I like a lotion and cotton wool. No particular brand, just whatever's on offer. I have not found there to be much between them.

The brand that wins all the accolades is Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish (you can buy it on line at John Lewis ar larger Boots) and it is fantastic for taking off all make up including mascara. A less expensive version is made by Boots, No 7 Beautiful Skin, but the cloth that comes with it is scratchy so you need a Liz Earle one or a piece of muslin. LE is about £20 and Boots about £12.

Boots Essentials Cucumber cleansing lotion, only £1.50 and smells lovely - I've used it for years. Facial wipes are OK for emergencies but they can drag the skin.

Body Shop Camomile Oil cleanser is brilliant!
It gets every scrap of makeup off, isn't at all greasy (it washes off very easily) and is very economical, a pump bottle and you only need one squirt. If you get it on offer even better, I bought two bottles for £10.

Teetime I have got a £5 voucher off Boots no 7 skin creams so I will try your recommendation at a bargain price. grin

I am a mug for cosmetics so I will also buy the Bodyshop cleanser Loopylou as well.

Thanks all.

Clarins Pure Cleansing Melt gel to remove make-up but I always wash with Clarins foaming cleanser.

Face wipes are good and handy, but you always need to finish off with a bit of cleanser on a cotton wool pad as the wipe leaves a film of oil behind which clogs the pores and can cause spots and pimples.
