I suspect I will be adding a few more to my collection having seen your recommendations Gransnetters.

I've got a MC one that I love. It's a brownish terracotta but I've worn it down to nothing and the name has worn off it .

A good one, I use, is by MAC called Crème in Your Coffee. A versatile shade for many complexions.

I have about 20 lipsticks! I never feel I get it right hence the constant search but at the moment I have a Clarins Joli Rouge (no15)pink magnolia- beige/pink which looks natural but glossy- hard to explain but classy and subtle also moisturising.

I am brunette (well number 7 with a touch of something else according to the hairdresser wink ) and I have to avoid anything with Mauve tones as I look like I have had a heart attack.

I like the sound of the muddy pink, will have a look at that one, although these days I seem to use just the magic lipsticks( lip stains) that stay on all day.

Although I am a blonde/grey mix and fair skinned, I don't like anything mauve on me, even lipstick, but find that a soft apricot looks best.

What are your favourites ?

I am blonde gone very light grey.

Recommended by another Gransnetter Mysterious Mauve by Dior (rather pricey) however I put over the top of it Asda Blossom lipstick and it tones down the purple to just the right shade.

I got a free Rimmel Kate lipstick 08 which I tried and surprisingly liked, its a soft muddy pink.
