I have just seen a photograph of the actress Shirley Anne Field 76, who was a beautiful woman in her prime, however it is obvious she has had plastic surgery and IMO she looks terrible.

If only she had let herself age naturally like he actress Honor/Honour Blackman who still looks good in her 80s.

I'm sure it can't be good for you at that age to be going through un-necessary procedures like this surely just care of her skin at her age would suffice, she must be chasing the dream of staying younger as so many others do.

I agree Glamma. In the article she denies having surgery 'various small things including laser treatment' !

Oh dear, I've just looked at the photo - it's actually quite frightening!

What on earth possessed her? shock

I do think though, that some people, for whatever reason, do not age well, no matter what they do.
And if you are in the public eye, that makes it worse.

Just how high is that forehead? Sorry Shirley but that is work done, and nothing wrong if that is your thing. Just don't deny it.

I think it's scary that women think their looks are improved by plastic surgery.
Having seem wrinkly tattoos and silicon boobs on elderly ladies, which don't move when they lay down but look like two beach balls.........
What is the attraction other than a desperation not to grow old gracefully? Even if I had the money I wouldn't spend it on this!

The only time I think it's justified is to correct injuries or birth defects, personally.

I've just looked at the Photo - how sad. She was so beautiful. It must be very difficult to accept ageing normally when your career depends on your face.

Where is this photo please?

Lona I just googled Shirley Ann Field and the latest media news and photo came up. It wasn't hard to identify the photo in question.

Oh my goodness, what has she done to herself! I think the plastic surgeons are to blame too. They should have a responsibility to say when the skin is not going to take surgery properly.
