I'd be interested in hearing more about your work at the V&A;it sounds fascinating with all the retro films and tv programmes being made these days.

Pixie my advice would be to start again on Gransnet but read through some of the threads first to get the general feel of the place. It is a good idea that you have but you can see that you probably got off on the wrong foot. Most of us here just like to be thought of us as people with varying needs and preferences. In age we vary enormously and in the way we view and approach our chronology. Not all gransnetters are retired and not all are women. We have various occupations and professions and a huge variety of life experience. Just tread a little more softly when you come back.

Well what can I say, there was no charge actually I am fine with work in London i was just trying to help I feel your comments are very unkind, and actually i am over 60 and I love being called girl and oldie

Hello pixie ( what a naff name) I'm one of the 'oldie girls' you have just attempted to patronise. I probably have lipsticks older than you and I've a pretty good idea, by now, of how to look after my skin and apply make up, etc..

I agree- "oldies" and "girls" in the same post pretty much upsets everybody. So perhaps you should start by looking at exactly what you offer and who you are offering it to. An indication of the cost would be good as Teetime says.

And we are not, by any stretch of the imagination, 'girls' either!

Pun-lease, this is patronising on so many levels. The intention may be good, but I fear the approach and indeed the perception of " older" women rules it out.

If you are asking my advice (and other gransnetters) on how to set up your business I charge for my services as a management consultant as presumably you will be charging for your services so I think we need to be clear about that from the start.
