Backcombing

I recently bought a backcombing brush, the makers called it a teasing brush, and I am really pleased with it. I only backcomb the flat bits of my hair after I have washed and styled it. I wish I had discovered this brush ages ago. I think it cost me £3.75 and it hasn't ruined my hair. smile

I used to do a lot of backcombing in my young days but it did ruin hair then, however looks won out. My hair is flat and fine now so come on tell us more about this brush.

I just ordered it online from Boots it is made by Babyliss. All the reviews said it was kind on hair and I have found the same. It's worth a try Annsixty

I stood behind a woman in the queue at the supermarket today who'd obviously backcombed the top of her hair. It looked like a messy bird's nest from the back - something to be aware of.

Yes you are right Ana I get a second mirror and check for any gaps or messy bits. I only lightly backcomb it just to give it a bit of lift.

I wouldn't do it now, for that very reason. My hair was always back combed as a teenager and probably looked bad from the back even then!shock

I suspect you would Roses if you had horrible flat hair like me. sad

But I do! Well, fine silky hair, NanKate. I am tempted to give it a go now.

How's it looking this morning Roses and did you top it off with the thick black eye makeup? hmm

To tell you the truth Nan, I forgot about it until just now, will give it a go later on.

It's really fashionable at the moment - this is how my niece made my sister have her hair done for her wedding two weeks ago

Nonnie Tue 15-Sept-15 16:10:36

Remember the squeezy bottles of hair spray you used to hold the backcombing up?

Nice picture Jane . To think I am in the fashionable set now and so is Roses if she can get her act together and start back combing and spraying with industrial duty lacquer.

I have just returned from a day in London and instead of having flat hair I still have a nice bit of rise to it. smile
