Elrel you and I were obviously in parallel universe versions of M and S. smile
There was one nordic style jumper I quite fancied but no - 3/4 sleeves.

I think that it a theory with foundation. At your wrists and ankles the blood flows quite near the surface, so it cools fast if they are exposed.

Thosee who prefer three-quarter sleeves all year must live somewhere the temperature doesn't fall very low.

Then there is the acrobatics required to get a cardigan or jacket on over 3/4 sleeves without them riding up!

I don't mind a 3/4 sleeve cardigan in summer but hate them in winter - the most irritating thing about them is putting a coat or jacket on and trying to stop the 3/4 sleeves underneath from riding up my arms angry

I spent some time this week trawling a big shopping centre for a jumper with 3/4 sleeves. I am small and have short arms so they are the right, comfortable, length for me. In one shop I was told that they don't do 3/4 sleeves in winter clothes as it's colder. M&S were sure they'd had some but, I guess, had sold out. I can roll up normal length sleeves of course but would rather have shorter ones. Still looking. I don't think I'll try the rubber bands!

I have a theory no doubt entirely erroneous, that if your wrists are cold, the rest of you feels cold and vice versa. So the only way to wear 3/4 coat or jacket sleeves would have to be with very long glamorous fine leather gloves, channelling your inner Audrey Hepburn .
Bracelet length is of course so called to show off one'so diamond bracelets grin .

I like 3/4 sleeves in spring and autumn but for winter I definitely need long sleeves as my wrists get cold. Sometimes I wear a long sleeved t-shirt under a 3/4 one which can work quite well.

I don't like 3/4 length sleeves at all, especially on jumpers! I have long arms too and my skinny forearms and none-too-small hands just sort of dangle out of the ends! grin

I've only got a couple because I was caught out and thought they were full length sleeves when I bought them.

I only ever wear 3/4 sleeves, or use a rubber band to take my sleeves up to 3/4 length. Can't stand anything around my wrists.
Even jacket sleeves will be pushed up above the wrists and held in place by a rubber band (which can't be seen)
The only sleeve I'd wear at wrist length would be a heavy winter overcoat.

And, I always thing that you'd have to be careful to co-ordinate, wouldn't you? confused

These seem to be a major feature of the "winter collections" in shops (M and S for one). Warm looking jumpers and jackets with stubby sleeves. I have long arms and they feel the cold. (My Gran, a short person, who knitted for us, once said "Jessica! You have arms like a gorilla!") 3/4 is more like 2/3 on me.
I have a couple of summer weight jackets with shorter sleeves. But why would anyone want to these short sleeves in the winter?
