Definitely go for it. I am 66 and a bit of a physical wreck grin but I have long, slim legs and wear above the knee skirts with leggings or thick tights. Makes me feel better.

Yes, go for it. You could wear leggings and boots instead of the opaque tights, too. Have fun!

I certainly would if I had decent legs ( and was 10 years younger.) Mine are like spindleshanks, and all mottled.
The skirt sounds lovely smile

oldcelt I'm also 62 and have recently lost weight. This week I have had a couple of formal day time occasions to go to and wore dresses that finish above the knee to both and I felt great. You go for it!

Go for it! I'm just jealous because my knees wouldn't stand being seen at all and I'd really need to lose several stone to countenance the leather smile

Sounds lovely oldcelt and the way you are planning on wearing sounds very elegant - enjoy and well done for the weight loss. wine

Oh easily, if they are absorbed in watching cricket, playing games on the iPad, doing crosswords, listening to the news on the radio, eating anything, drinking anything, staring out of the window, the list is endless.grin
but you enjoy wearing your new skirt anyway, we should buy clothes 'for ourselves' smile

That sounds lovely oldcelt and leather skirts appear to be en vogue this season.

How could your husband fail to notice?! smile

Well done on the weight loss. The skirt sounds great. I too lost weight and bought a leather skirt. I've only worn it once so far, to go out in the evening.
Enjoy wearing it.

Go for it if you've lost weight. Well done.

I'm 62. I have recently lost a lot of weight and am now more fit and slender than I have been for 20 years. In a moment of madness I have bought a gorgeous leather skirt! It is a lovely soft A line, so not tight fitting at all. It does come just above my knees so is shorter than I would normally wear. I would only wear it with opaque tights. Any opinions?
