It may be because of your exfoliant or may not. Do you follow the directions of exfoliant you are using correctly? Since there are several different ways of using the exfoliants, such as some need to be applied on a wet face or some on dry face, you should follow the directions correctly for the best result. I don't know what kind of product you are using nowthough, it could be happened if the product is not the right one for your skin. I also needed to try various kinds of exfoliant to find the one that I like the mostand work the most. In my case, I prefer to use gel based exfoliants that are mild and soft. Bioderma Sebium Exfoliating Purifying Gel is one that I liked and worked well on removing the dead skin cells and making my skin soft. Lancome Exfoliance Rediance Clarifying Exfoliating Gel was good as well, but made my face a bit dry after using it. IASO Triple Action White Peeling Gel is that I'mcurrently using, and I really like this one. Itnot only makes my skin really soft, but makes it brighter after using it, Icandefinitely see the diffrence. Hope you find the best one for your skin!

I have some questions about exfoliating. I exfoliate my face regularly twice in a week, usually at night after washing my face. I rub my exfoliant on my face softly for about two minutes, then rinse with warm water. Am I doing something wrong here? I think I'm exfoliating my face in a right way, but I don't know why I can't see or feel any difference on my face after exfoliating. I still feel that my skin texture is rough, especially on and around my nose because of excessive sebum and blackheads inside my big pores. Should I do something else to take care of the dead skin cells on my face? Or should I try other exfoliants? What products do you guys use that really work well?
