Hello.
I have curly hair, dry enough that it now tends to frizz.
I colour it at home, can't afford salon prices, and not yet ready to go grey as I find it depressing with my olive skin.
Has anyone found a brand of colourant that doesn't dry hair out?
I see people with obviously coloured hair that looks a good texture, so there must be something I haven't found yet.

I wouldn't colour my own hair as friends that do have the same problem as you Persistent so I put it in the hands of my hairdresser.

But have you looked to your finishing products?

Conditioners, the kind that needs to be left in for several minutes, and some of the new hair oils, like Argan oil give me extra shine. And there are special anti-frizz products on the market - John Frieda springs to mind.

My hair is mega frizzy and salon treatments are the only ones that work for me without making it worse. Have you looked to see if their is a Hairdressing College near you or salon wanting models - you get it done really cheaply then if not for free.

Thank you ladies. Going to start with having a few inches lopped off and go from there!!

I coloured my hair this morning with lovely results . Nutrisse Garnier - Ultra Colour , after scrunch drying I put a tiny tiny spot of Frizzease on my palms and smoothed it through the ends as I put it into a high ponytail . It's shiny , swingy and bouncy !
