Can anyone help?. I'm looking for a under slip full length in red to go under a lace dress. As I'm an apple shape (big tum) I'm struggling to find one, need it for son's wedding in april so uk based sites. Anyone?

I think that your best bet is to look on line. I cannot say I have seen them for sale but admittedly I have not been looking for one for many years.

I have had a quick look online and I think your best bet would be to get a local dressmaker to run one up for you, or make one yourself.

I found a red chemese on Amazon which would probably be suitable. Have you tried looking at nightwear ?
Sorry I can't do a link from my phone. I Googled slip/ petticoat

Have a look at this, I don't know if it's the sort of thing you want. It's a nightie but looks like an underskirt to me ?

Try www.stucco.co.uk there are at least 2 red slips on there.

Don`t understand that, I just clicked on there and it`s nothing like the site I looked at after googling red slips!

My mistake, sorry, it`s www.Stuccu.co.uk

Full length slips are almost impossible to find so I found a pattern and made myself some as I wanted 100% cotton. It was very basic and pretty simple to do and I was pleased with them.

Do you mean full length as in with top bodice and goes to the knee, or full length to the ankle?

Just had a thought. Choose the style you want from M & S or BHS and dye it red? Could this work. You would have time to try several dyes to see how it would work, i.e. scarlet red, burgundy, etc.

I bought a full length (ie to the knee) from Debenhams a couple of years ago but you hardly ever see them now. I've never worn the darn thing.

I can`t wear them as they`re always too long for me, even waist slips can be a problem.

Would you maybe get one attached to a bra? I have seen that sort of thing in black and beige - you could cause a stir and go for the scandalous nothing underneath look! grin The fabric the slip is made of will be crucial in getting one which stays in place and is comfortable. I wish you luck with your quest.

Have you looked at Evans online? They start at a size 14 or 16. Also, my first port of call these days is eBay.

Just search for red half slip on eBay. There are several. Probably full slips as well.
