Fat Knees

It's a pity we can't have our legs altered isn't it. I can live with my funny nose and my woeful chest but I'd've sold my first born for a pair of long, shapely legs! Lol!

They could join the drawer full of compression socks that I have. Even when I weighed just over 7 stone at one point in my life I had large legs and fat knees. Have never worn shorts in my life. No matter how much weight I have lost over the years it just makes the difference more noticeable; it's as if someone gave me the wrong legs to go with my body. Thankfully DD hasn't inherited my legs. I did find at one point that bashing my knees a bit when in the bath reduced the fat a bit but that is a bit drastic....

I have fat knees and have kindly visited them on both daughters along with fat ankles and calves otherwise known as cankles. DD2 bought some compression socks for a foot injury caused by running and she said after a few hours she had a donut of flesh pushed up from her calves to her knees. £16 wasted on compression socks she will never wear again.

PS Straight legged jeans doesn't mean skinny.

Yes, go for a bootcut or a loose fitting style if necessary. Team with a pair of casual walking shoes such as Skechers and you'll have a look that's comfortable and doesn't really date ....unless you're a 'Dedicated Follower of Fashion'.

Totally agree Alea, fashion only lasts for five minutes, but it seems the skinny leg style has been around for far too long! It's really hard to find nice alternatives these days - I thought I'd cracked it recently but it turned out my new trousers are more wide-legged than I like. Still, you can't see how fat my knees are so why am I complaining?

I think you always look better in a style which suits your figure shape regardless of fashion. <Pass me my burka>
But seriously, skinny trousers or jeans are for skinny legs and tapered, boot cut or "boyfriend" much more forgiving for most of us. Given that the " fashion" changes every 5 minutes, they are probably in fashion again since I started writing.

My problem too ! I had to peel off a pair of jeans with a stretch in them last night . My knees were swollen and I was self conscious about the knees showing - had to put the baggy jeans on ! I'm on my diet and hope that it's going to help . I've tried massaging them , that works a bit . Why is it that weight always comes off on the bits you don't need it to come off ?

-please, someone come up with a solution. I have fat,chubby knees, and the new knee replacement doesn't do any favours.
