I have a blazer - worn with jeans, it is my favourite garment and I feel very good in it. Never worn it over a tee shirt though...

Ah it was on TV! Perhaps a store somewhere was trying to sell off out of style remaindered stock. Cynical old bat that I am. grin

I have lots of V-neck t-shirts because I have a short neck. I have a variety of colours and can't be bothered with blouses that have to be meticulously ironed, though I do have a couple of linen shirts that can be worn open, over a t-shirt.

I have loads of nice t-shirts but can't bear those ones with glittery bits or pictures on, the only 'blouse' I own is a linen long line one . To be honest when I have shopped for clothes recently there are loads and loads of prints for young people which I think are horrendous so certainly not for older women . I agree with Ana its rubbish and I've not had an inclination to wear a blazer since I left school wink

What's wrong with v necked t-shirts? I'm certainly not getting rid of mine - who wants to wear a starchy old-fashioned blouse, especially if you have to iron it?

And I've never worn a blazer in my life! (Apart from at school, that is...)

Sorry Envious, I just think that advice is just plan silly grin

I was watching a dept. store clothing consultant on tv giving hints on how to dress to look younger and thinner when over 50. She said we shouldn't wear t-shirts but tops with interests and v neck when possible. Use Blazers often and be careful with prints because they can scream old woman. I think she is right about the cotton t shirts I've gone through my closet and purged them.I may save a few for home wear and gardening. I have summer blouses I can wear I'll just have to get the iron out!
