How vain are you?

I have my toe nails painted all summer - avid flip flop wearer - and I have my hair cut regularly and then it is very easy to manage. I do wear make up when I go out - just lipstick in the summer. I have never been able to apply mascara easily but anyway I am allergic to most eye make up and runny eyes is not a good look! I have to use Xalatan eye drops each night - the rather good side effect of them is that it makes your eye lashes grow much thicker.

Don't bother with make up, don't go to hair dresser , don't use nail varnish, bliss

I don't think taking care of yourself or good grooming is vanity and we all have our individual maintenance levels. I've just started having gel polished fingernails as I was never allowed to have them during my working ,life and now my hands are nobbly and arthritic it makes me feel better about them so you could call it vanity but I have a different rationale for why I do it. Other than that hairdos, removal of unwanted hair in extraneous places and a bit of slap according to where I'm going that's it really.

Nothing that makes someone feel good about themselves is vain. In other circumstances I might be happy to have some treatments - manicure, pedicure, eyebrows and lashes, skin care and maybe a massage - but I enjoy the money in other ways.

I very rarely leave the house without mascara but only do a full face for evening.
I paint my own nails and colour my own hair.

Hi Minimo I get my eyes done every month are I would look washed out and it make me feel better to look in the mirror to see I actually have some eyelashes I have started to put fake tan on my legs so that if summer does decide to arrive I will be prepared to ware my skirt and sandals then I will have to do like you and get the polish out and do my toe nails

I paint my toes. Dont do fingernails as they have to be redone more often.
I had a bump removed from my face as didnt fancy looking at it for the next 30 years.
That is it. But do think I may be becoming vainer as I get older, which may be the reverse of other people?

Or rather, what treatments/obsessions/habits do you consider vain? I have my eyelashes tinted every month (I look like a faded photograph otherwise). I paint my own toes - my reasoning is if I carry on doing them every day I'll always be fit enough to - ha! I don't paint my fingers though - that peels off always immediately.
But I certainly don't do a full make up every day. Do you? What are your 'vain' habits?
