Well, I`ve looked at Tesco`s site, there are some lovely patterned trousers, but they don`t seem to go above a size 20, I need a 22, and don`t give the length. I looked at their size guide, and their extra short trousers are 28and a half inches, I only need 25"!

Badenkate, I wouldn`t even attempt to shorten them, me and a sewing needle do not go well together!
HildajenniJ, 5`3"? You`re tall, I`m 5`1/2"! However, I will look on the Tesco website.

Just be thankful that you can adjust them by turning them up. I need trousers about 1" longer than the standard sold - but that inch makes a lot of difference, and there's nothing I can do.

I agree. I'm not desperately short, but I've spent this week turning up holiday trousers I bought in Next and Monsoon.
When they show them in the photos I notice most of the models are wearing ridiculously high heels too, so that makes the actual trousers look even longer on someone like me who wears flat sandals.

I'm only 5' 3" and bought some lovely summer patterned trousers in Tesco. I bought the botanical print ones, but I also bought two other pairs, one black and cream the other black and orange leaf print. They have some very pretty trousers in my local branch too. have a look at these

Why can't you shorten them?

I`m getting very frustrated in my search for a pair of patterned trousers. Every time I find a pair and think "Yes, I`ll send for these, do I look at the length and find they`re out of the question for me. I need 25" leg length, but all that seems to be on offer are plain ones. Don`t thy think that us shorties want the pretty patterned ones?
