Put it on a radiator for a few minutes?

I put some into a small pot and as DaphneBroon says pop it on the radiator or let the pot float in a bit of hot water in the sink.

Would it help my still problem hair? After the colour stripping months ago, and a few trims plus the bag on head thing (see previous thread) and intensive conditioner, it's still bloody awful!

I have never had that problem - I get cold pressed organic etc stuff and when set it is still easy to get out. I do decant some into a smaller pot as I get it in a two kilo size - which is a tad large in the bathroom.

For problem hair yes!! Put a plastic bag or cling film over the top covered with a hot towel and leave as long as possible.

with a desert spoon, then it melts as soon as it's in my hands - no problem - find it more convenient that way than in the summer when it's all runny in the pot

Blast the surface with a hairdryer?

We use it for whitening our teeth! Just scoop out a teaspoon full, put in mouth, squish around and it melts. For other uses, just put whatever amount I need into a small cup, put the cup in a bowl of boiling water and the coconut soon melts.

Forgot to say that, in the winter, we have to chop it up in the jar with a wee sharp knife, before we can scoop it out with a spoon.

We don't have central heating so putting the jar on a radiator isn't an option!

Have you come across something called Trauma Treatment Healing Colorcare by L'Anza. My step sister has been staying with me and has had a colour disaster when something went wrong at her normal hairdresser a week before she arrived. Her hair was a mess.

I leant her some of mine and she put a 'pearl-sized' blob onto her hands and rubbed it into towel dry hair after shampooing as a leave-in conditioner. She was here nearly a month and there was a noticeable improvement by the time she left. In fact I felt I had to give it to her to take home
