I use L'Oreal brow artiste brow plumper in light/medium £5.99 which is more like a mascara for eyebrows and lasts for absolutely ages!

J52and tanith thanks for tips, will try them. Had been advised to have them dyed or tattooed(hmm rather drastic)

Tanith I use the Avon Glimmerstick eyebrow colour and eyeliner but I get it on eBay, often cheaper than Avon even when Avon has an offer.

I can't apply eye liner neatly as I have some tiny cysts along the lash line. I get the required result by applying a charcoal grey eye shadow close to the lashes with a flat brush and then smudging.

On my eyebrows, which are thinning I use an Avon Glimmerstick. I bought the blonde colour but it was too light so I tried the Dark Brown and use it very sparingly and its lasted ages. It colours the hairs you have and you'd be surprised how many almost invisible hair is there to be coloured. I gently shape and colour them very lightly and it makes such a difference.

www.avon.uk.com/product/1763/ it usually £6 but last time I looked it was half price..

I used to use eye liner (on top lids) but agree with Tanith it looks really hard now, so just use a soft grey Avon eyeliner under the eyes, and mascara.

I use soft kohl pencils, it give a softer line. Most makes do them, I have a variety of colours grey, blue, green and brown.

Eyebrows are wearing thin as well ( hard to believe I ever plucked them!) so I either smooth them over with moisturiser and apply powdered brown eyeshadow, with a brush, or lightly go over with the brown pencil.

I leave eyeliner to the youngsters, just use shadow and mascara. I have very sparse eyebrows, would love nice thick ones to frame my face. Any tips?

I am trying to imagine applying eyeliner either with or without my glasses!

If you are going to give it a try Hilda, get one of the liners that are like a felt tip as they are very easy to apply.

I used to use it all the time when younger and found it easy if I pull the corner of the eye tight while drawing the line. Nowadays it looks much to harsh on me so I just use a pencil under they eye and plenty of Mascara.

It's easier to watch someone than to describe the method.
Search Youtube, plenty of demos posted there.

Has anyone any tips on how to apply eye liner? I have never been able to do it and now that the lashes are thinning , I feel I should give it a go.
