I am starting to look for some Spring jeans mainly for a holiday I am taking in May and would like to ask help with the following questions.
1. Has anyone seen such itmes in any shops or on-line?
2. Can a 64 year old size 14 5ft 3 in woman wear these and hope to get away with it if the top comes over the derriere?

thank you

I am 66 size 12 and bought some white Tu (Sainsburys)Jeans last summer
My brutal daughters say they look fine
I have some burnt orange and turquoise cut offs from M and S which are almost poplin. They will be coming on holiday with me and will buy some more this summer if they do them in different colours .Side zip and very flattering .Pale pink would be good
It's more down to body shape and personality than age /size I think

White jeans as long as they are good quality and good fit can look smashing on anyone whatever your age! Go for it ?

I am 5'1'' and have been a size 22 for thrr past few years and have no problem wearing white or pale coloured trousers with longer tops. . I think we should just wear what we like and what we feel comfotable in

Wear what you like, that's the best thing about getting older, having the nerve to do your own thing.

Coolgran, if you can find me a pair of jeans, any length, that make my ankles look good, I will grab them with both hands.

I got white jeans in Sainsburys. Nice fit and 3 lengths.

I think if anyone can wear pale pink, pale blue, pale turquoise jeans or cut offs, it's only a very baby step to wearing white. I don't really see the difference.

IMO as long as they fit and the rear is well covered, the colour doesn't matter. White jeans ending just above the ankle with a plain black top covering the rear looks wonderful.

I've recently bought some stretchy jeans from Next. They are the most comfortable things I have ever bought. My friend bought them in white last summer so I'm hoping they will be back in store for this summer.
I have always wanted white jeans and bought many a pair but rarely wear them. They seem to look good on others but I often chicken out of wearing them. Maybe this year I will be braver!!

I have a few pairs of white jeans cropped and ankle length always worn mainly with black/white tops which look good anywhere,to-day I saw some nice peach coloured ones in M&S also lemon they had some quite cute tops that mixed and matched with them all at reasonable prices at a size 14 you can get away with anything go for it, you are too young for the beige brigade yet.

Yes white jeans or chinos - as said above worn with a nice black T smile

Not a fan of white jeans but I've just bought a pair of pale grey ones that I'm very pleased with.

Teetime go for it, at a size 14 you ca wear whatever you like x

When patterned and flowered thin summer trousers were all the rage, twenty or more years ago, I loved them and had several pairs, but now I think they look like pjs and wouldn't touch them with a bargepole.grin

rosesarered Wed 08-Mar-17 19:57:02

Not white jeans, they are a definite no-no, but pastel ones, yes, in fact I have a couple of pairs and also some turquise ones.Size doesn't come into it, you can look good whatever, and age doesn't count either.Go for it Teetime!

White jeans with a black t shirt....smart.

Anya Wed 08-Mar-17 19:33:05

White jeans? Never!

Now pastel shades....that would tempt me. Not sure about flower prints though hmm

JackyB Wed 08-Mar-17 19:15:12

This week, here in Germany, there are pastel jeans on sale at Aldi. Some have flower prints on them. I'm quite tempted, especially at that price.

I am off to Spain on Friday and I will be packing both pink and white jeans. (With a longer top of course!) Go for it.

I've bought very comfy trousers from Bon Marche in the past and they are good quality (still going strong after some years). They've got 2 in 1 cargo trousers at the moment:

Not sure about white, but there are cracking red ones in Tesco...

Karanlouise Wed 08-Mar-17 18:02:09

Yes, of course you can wear them, i agree M&S would be a good place to get start, they have even more choice online than in the stores. Enjoy. smile

I have white jeans and all sorts of pale coloured summer trousers usually 3/4 length. Of course you can wear them. I wear skin coloured underwear. You can get them all over the place. Google them.

tanith Wed 08-Mar-17 14:45:52

I am also similar in size and height but am nearer 70 than you and often wear white jeans with a nice top in the Summer. Just go with whatever you feel good in.
