Styling my silver hair

I use John Freida Root Booster on towel dried hair which gives my short choppy style a lift. I like mine to look separated too and use wax to do this. I have found that using conditioner BEFORE shampoo washes it out more easily. I would welcome any alternative to wax which can make my hair feel greasy and means I have to wash it every day.

Thank you I am a fan of John Freida products and use his shampoos and conditioners along with the shine spray. Yes I have found wax to be rather heavy and dislike the tacky feel on my hair so I shall be interested in other recommendations too!

I use a John Frieda finishing cream . Just a tiny bit warmed up in the tips of fingers and put on ends of hair to separate. I've been using the same tube for a couple of years you use such a small amount .

I use any of the gels from the supermarket hair care aisle. At the minute it's the bright red tube. Strong gel, definitely not wet look - rub a dollop through my hair and then blow dry. When my hair is just about ready, styled etc. I rub some gel through my fingers, and then separate my hair and finish off styling with my fingrs. Spray with Elnett.... job done. Don't look near my hair the rest of the day. It's already casual.

Brush it out at night.
Next day, use a little gel to separate and finish off hair ready for the day again.

Normally as in when working, I'd wash hair every other day but really can go to 3 days without difficulty.

I do find when it's really short it needs washed every day, with an inch or two onto it, it's more forgiving.
