I think some of them work. I had a course of treatment similar to Caci a few years back. It was a bit labour intensive but worked. I was unable to keep up the treatment -it was £800 - but it was probably more effective than a home treatment.

Thank you for your reply, i did try caci several years sgo, but couldnt really afford it at the time, did you find the effects lasting?
I think you probably need to keep having them,
I looked at reviews on Amazon and the Rio neck and chin one has really good reviews, thought i might try that, as its not too expensive, and at least can be used every day,
I did try the Rio 60 second one, but it did switch off every 60 seconds and it was too much hassle having to switch it on and off and find the right strength every time, luckily i got it from QVC and was able to return it
If i decide to try one i will update on results
Some of them are supposed to work like the HIFU salon treatments encouraging new collagen but my daughter has had the salon treatment and doesnt look any different to me, she tends to have a slight double chin

valerie I'm not sure about the lasting...i must admit I wasn't paying attention! I was younger then, and I had the treatment as a mid-life crisis thing...i had Botox and fillers as well.

I also had a device called Oralift fitted. It's a kind of mouthpiece that makes you keep your face in one position and it's supposed to make your muscles work harder and lift them. I think it DOES work because it was done on one of the workers at the practice, and the before and after pictures were impressive. That was £800 too but lasts for life.

I'd definitely have the Genie treatment again. It uses very strong electrical impulses. It has an overall lifting effect.

I'm going to stay clear of Botox and fillers, I think, for now.

I'd also recommend a look at the Realself website if you haven't already done so.

I have been doing the Eva Fraser facial exercises www.evafraser.com off and on for the last 20 years. They take 5 - 10 minutes a day, usually done first thing as part of my getting up procedure.

When I started all that was available was a small paperback, but now DVDs of them are available and they are also on Youtube.

I think they work, difficult to know now what I would look like if I hadn't done them.

Their advantage is that the cost is low compared with the alternative and they do not require any equipment, just a mirror

I think Eva Fraser makes sense too Monica.
I can't say I'm very diligent about doing them though.
The one I think has really made a difference is the eyelid/eyebrow one. I do that most days & my eyes are no worse than they were 10 years ago & possibly slightly better.

The one I concentrate on is the one for bags under the eyes. It was seeing this exercise in a newspaper, after I had just started developing them - and seeing it work - that led me to get Eva Stewart's book and start following the whole routine.

What is the "Genie" actually never heard of it
I also got one of those oral mouthpieces i think it was on Rosemary Conley, but i coulodnt use it with dentures,so gave it to my daughter
Can the Genie still be bought? or was it a salon treatment
