Have you ever tried "Frizz Ease" made by John Frieda its a gel that straightens your hair whilst damp my friend who has very tight curls uses it all the time with remarkable results, the next time you decide it needs cutting invest in going to the hairdresser rather than doing it yourself she/he can then shape it to exactly how you want it.good luck.

Hello
I am 71. In the last year, the hair that would be sideburns if I were male has gone crazy! It is wiry and frizzy. It won't stay behind my ears even if I use gel. Nothing seems to work and it completely ruins my look! I made the mistake of cutting it shorter but that was not the solution as it looks even weirder now and cannot be disguised. So I am waiting for it to grow again. I wear my hair back off my face so can't disguise them with hair.
Any advice would be welcome. I know it's an ageing thing but I am not ready to give in yet!
