I would appreciate your comments on this! It that is looking "chic", then I will start cutting up and starching my old linen tomorrow, wonder how much that frock horror cost?

Arrrgh! "IF" not "IT"

Some of the others are pretty awful too.

M0nica Thu 22-Jun-17 21:39:42

Looks like my summer nightdress. Who is she anyway?

Chewbacca Thu 22-Jun-17 21:40:45

Good grief phoenix, having looked through all 31 of them, I'm amazed that so many were so frightful. This is my personal favourite

Ana Thu 22-Jun-17 21:41:40

And those shoes are awful!

Charleygirl Thu 22-Jun-17 21:46:04

OMG absolutely horrendous. It makes her look at least 4 sizes larger than she probably is. I did not look at any others, that was enough for me.

Heehee! Don' t know who Emilia Wickstead is, but she certainly doesn't look chic.
The way she is standing isn't elegant either....is it a maternity dress?

Auntieflo Thu 22-Jun-17 22:29:14

It's the result of Emilia washing her dress and pegging it up by the shoulders. (See washing line protocol thread).

Apologies, don't know how that happened

gillybob Thu 22-Jun-17 22:34:44

It's those emperors new clothes again.

They all think they're horrendous really, but they're frightened to say so.

phoenix Thu 22-Jun-17 22:39:08

One or two were ok, but the vast majority wereshock confused

Chewbacca Thu 22-Jun-17 22:43:17

Oh dear... when I posted a photo of that dress and said it was my "personal favourite ", I meant that it was the one that I found particularly horrendous, not the one that I actually liked. Almost all of the 31 dresses are ugly and unflattering but that was seemed, to me, to be the worst. I'm digging a bigger hole, aren't I?

mimiro Thu 22-Jun-17 22:43:33

she has a pole up her hmmmm

Chewbacca Thu 22-Jun-17 22:47:23

To be honest, even the ones that Beatrice and Eugene weren't very flattering either. Those horizontal lines, across a half length nude lining, looked cheap. Surely, with their ability to access the best dress designers money can buy, they should know what looks good on them and what looks a mess?

phoenix Thu 22-Jun-17 23:03:18

Yes, Chewbacca one would think so, but just think back to that hat, she couldn't even sit upright in the car in it!

I still wonder if it was some sort of dare in the milliners workshop, as in "Right then, we've been asked to design a hat for the wedding, I'm offering a prize for the most ridiculous design"

A couple of weeks later.... "Oh mate, you win, Tele tubby inspired, good laugh! Tell you what, just for fun, we'll submit it, no way will she go for it................

I'm going to Harrogate tomorrow. My choice of clothes isn't looking too bad now. ? Almost all of those dresses and jumpsuits were frightful.

Chewbacca Thu 22-Jun-17 23:15:46

What about this one?

Chewbacca Thu 22-Jun-17 23:16:24

Drat!

SueDonim Thu 22-Jun-17 23:16:46

That photo really is most unfortunate! Has she been posted onto a pole to keep her upright? grin

Chewbacca Thu 22-Jun-17 23:17:35

Reminds me of one of those frilly dolly thingys to cover loo rolls.

phoenix Thu 22-Jun-17 23:21:53

grin

Erin O'Connor looked stunning as usual, Sam Cam looked boring as usual and it was a pity they didn't give Bianca Jagger time to change out of her pyjamas! I'm feeling so much better about the dress I've just bought on E Bay grin
