Extremely appropriate - the colour of peace, setting off the poppy and TBH the colour choice will have been discussed with the "people" of the Belgian King and Queen and okayed.
(TM could have stood a bit straighter and looked a bit less awkward )

I thought it was appropriate too. Not at all flashy but stylish and showing respect for the occasion. And the poppy stood out.

I take your point Cari

Got there just before me, Cari.
White is often the symbol for peace, and seems quite fitting.

Thank you Cari my thoughts exactly.

Black or white , neither are suitable

My only thought is that white is the colour of peace?

I just felt something like navy, maroon or purple would have been more appropriate if she didn't want to wear black.

The Duchess of Cambridge and I felt the same nina.

Who wore a white outfit nina ?

ninathenana Mon 31-Jul-17 11:07:41

Have worn a white outfit to the Passchendaele memorial service ?

I know there are far more important things in the world and usually I wouldn't give a flying.... about any royals outfit but I felt this was wholly inapropriate on this occasion.
