In an effort to reduce the amount of plastic we use I want to try bars of shampoo. Has anyone tried them? I've got fine, flat, short hair. I know Lush is good but they do contain a few nasties so something organic would be good. Thanks.

Used to use one ages ago, I found them really good, no idea why I stopped using it. You have inspired me to start again!

Thought lush was supposed to be completely organic. Daughter very fussy about these things and always prefers lush. She got some for me. i liked it especially useful to take away when flying with carry on. Solid Conditioner nice too.

I've got Lush shampoo and conditioner bars. They leave my hair really soft.

What nasties are in Lush products? I can't think they'd be any worse than regular shampoo, plus it gets washed out anyway.

I hadn't heard of these, but just looked on Ebay and have chosen an all natural coconut bar which can also be used on body and for shaving. There is a good selection of brands on there. I agree that we use too much plastic.

Are any of these shampoo bars perfume free? I did look at a website but there was no info about ingredients.

Baggs Try Funky Soap (online shop) They do fragrance free ,natural shampoo bars. Also lots of other mildly fragranced products. Can recommend apricot kernal.
They also do dog shampoo.
