We used to sit in a hot bath with our jeans on in the 60s Then they fitted a treat. And then have to lie flat to do them up. Times haven't changed much then
Pull them on up to the waist then lie flat on the bed to do up the zip and button. It usually works! Then they gradually stretch again throughout the day.
Get the jeans with a little bit of Lycra for stretch, and don't tumble dry them. I had a great pair recently from Bonne Marche, fit well, wash well, and hardly need any ironing. Oh, and they were only £16.
Sometimes there's only a day between washing and wearing again, so even if it was a weight increase I don't think that would account for the initial tightness.
I have three pairs of jeans which shrink such a lot with each wash that I have to wriggle my way into them and I can barely do up the button and zip. After about an hour's wear they are fine and comfortable again.I would think that I'd put on weight between wearings, but I have another pair which are the same size (bought from same store) and they never shrink in the wash. I just slip into them easily,Do other people have this problem?
