anybody used serims for eyelash growth.. mine are getting shorter and sparser .
Looking at branded options Rapid lash NYi etc and also reading about castor oil I want genuine reviews I can trust which I know I will find here as opposed to product endorsements elsewhere.! Also I am sure older eyelashes will react differently to younger ones as the hair growing cycle is different post menopause ...

Lol Jellybean Jean, mine too! I noticed in my late 30's that my once beautiful eyelashes were sparse and disappearing, so I started using a serum, but I can't find it! I will post later but its wonderful! I use it on my very very light brows and eyelashes and after about 3 months they looked as they did when I was younger! Its fab, and I have really sensitive eyes and skin so was very wary, but even when I have missed and put it in me eye I've had no pain. :-)

My husband uses eyedrops for a diabetes eye related condition he has....he has beautiful thick lashes, I am soooo envious of them....and yes this ingredient is used in the more expensive eye lash cosmetics.

I use They're Real mascara which does make my lashes thicker & longer. It does help to use eyeliner as that makes your lashes look thicker too.
I have just had my eyebrows micro planed (sort of tattoo) It should last about 3-4 years. It is still a work in progress as they looked amazing when first done but then the skin grows over them & they fade. About 4 weeks later the dye comes through again & you get the full effect. They have just started to show properly again but full effect will be another couple of weeks, So far I am very pleased with result. 2 friends of mine had them done some time ago & they look great!

I have prescription eye drops which make the lashes thicker and much longer. Unfortunately, they often curl in on themselves as they grow, which irritates the eye, so I end up pulling them out! Not such a bonus, as I end up with gaps.

Eyelashes now so sparse I have given up mascara. I put dark brown eyeshadow using it as eyeliner. Being a child of the swinging sixties also like a darker crease line, again dark brown, then blended carefully so more subtle. I do wear specs which highlight the eyes a bit. Thank goodness head hair is not thinning so far.

I have an underachieve thyroid and mine are sparce along with my eyebrows

Not only are my eyelashes thin and sparse but now I've got a large space on my lower right eyelid where they disappeared completely. I don't necessarily want long lashes, but I'd definitely be interested in trying anything that would help regrowth. Do any of the products mentioned on here help with that?

Visit the optician and check whether you have blepharitis (please excuse possible spelling errors).
An apparently painless condition caused, I am told, by bacteria in the tear ducts which cam cause eyelashes to drop out. Treatable with bicarbonate of soda or Johnson’s baby shampoo. Leaflets available in Specsavers.

My eyelashes are ok at the moment but its my eyebrows they have become so sparse so I am plucking up the courage to have them tinted.

I am not sure but a few months I think. My optician friend tells me it doesn’t happen for everyone. It has worked great for reducing my eye pressure as well - down from 27 to 14/16.

Jellybean ? me too! I'm rushing out to buy Revitalash!

valeriej43 Sat 20-Oct-18 09:43:16

Welshwife i have to use Lananaprost too, but not noticed any difference in my lashes up to now
I have given up hoping for long lashes, nothing seems to work,
How long before you noticed any difference in the growth,?

Lostmyglassesxx Sat 20-Oct-18 09:43:15

I used castooil for 6 weeks and then gave up ..you need black castor oil ..I think they stopped falling out as much... so I had better start again ..
Don’t use glaucoma stuff if you don’t have glaucoma I say ..it’s potent..eyes are precious things.
All hair has a growing cycle ..on head and eyes ..
The best mascara and I have worked through masses of them is Nars Climax..I got a free sample at the counter

Does anyone wear permanent false eye lashes? Are they any good? How long do they last?
Are they expensive?
Was thinking of maybe trying before my next holiday.

Willow10 Sat 20-Oct-18 09:30:34

Jellybean grin

jellybeanjean Sat 20-Oct-18 09:25:28

My eyelashes appear to have fallen out and have attached themselves to my chin, where they are thriving ?

Welshwife Fri 19-Oct-18 12:17:14

I use drops given to glaucoma patients - although I don’t have glaucoma just high pressure in my eyes- and certainly the drops have made my eyelashes thicker - Xalatan or Lanaprost.

FlexibleFriend Fri 19-Oct-18 11:17:48

My lashes are the same thickness and length etc they have always been, my eyebrows are getting thicker and longer, thicker is ok but longer is not. I take vitamin E every day and that probably helps as my hair is just as thick as ever too, fine but masses of it. I did by some clack castor oil to try but have never got round to it, think it cost all of £2 on Amazon.

valeriej43 Fri 19-Oct-18 10:09:19

I bought some lashXtreme from Groupon, supposed to make lashes grow, been using for 8 weeks, and --niothing, now trying caster oil, but only for a week up to now,
I read about Rapid lash, and very good reports about that, but its very expensive, especially as when you sop they shrink back
Was talking to a lady in eye clinic who has drops for Glaucoma, she said she had to trim her lashes as they grew so long they hit her glasses shock

Nanna58 Fri 07-Sept-18 23:57:58

Always use Revitalash, expensive, so ask DH for it at Christmas. Use it ever day and at first you’ll think you’ve been sold a pup, BUT after about 5weeks your eyelashes will ‘batter ‘ against your cheeks! Lasts well, when lashes look as you want them can just use a couple of times a week for maintenance- I honestly wouldn’t be without it, it’s amazing.

Maggiemaybe Thu 06-Sept-18 22:52:00

I didn't realise eyelashes changed as you got older. Something else to look forward to then. grin

Melanieeastanglia Thu 06-Sept-18 22:05:33

My friend had eyelash extensions. They looked great but I don't know what they cost.

lemongrove Thu 06-Sept-18 22:04:17
