I’ve found this website when browsing the internet looking for inspiration for an outfit for my son’s wedding
www.veradress.co.uk
I like some of the styles and the prices seem very good for made to measure.
Has anyone heard of it or used it? Would it be stupid to buy something like that unseen?
I admit to being slightly concerned also that the dresses are made somewhere in the Far East, probably in a sweat shop!

Hi Saralou - all I know is that my daughter ordered a wedding dress from an online shop and when it arrived it looked absolutely nothing like the pictures and it was very badly made, hems not finished, poor quality fabric.

We laughed when she tried it on - it looked like a nightie - and then we laughed off the money we had wasted and found one in a shop where you can actually try things on!

I think we had a thread a few months ago posted by someone who had bought something from this site and had not been at all happy with the quality and feel of the garment when it arrived. AsGrannyknot said, she could not return it or get a refund

I bought my DD's 3 bridesmaids dresses via ebay from Hong Kong. They cost peanuts. They were brilliant - slightly unusual, but a great hit.

My SIL recently bought her mother of the groom outfit from the Far East. She spent a fortune to make it wearable. A hard lesson learned.
I would thinks carefully about this.

DD' s wedding dress came from Hong Kong it was brilliant. Good fabric and beautiful beading. It was the same style as one she'd tried in a local shop but a third of the price.
blushblush I know that's not good.

A dress my daughter bought from Hong Kong. £20. Perfect fit and finish. We couldn't believe how lovely it is for the money.
