I have always enjoyed wearing lipstick, just lightly to cheer up my moral and my face. But now at 78 I was having so much trouble finding a colour that would stay on and look natural. Hurray I read Style and Beauty on Gransnet...I am over the moon I have found BARRY M from Superdrug and only £4.99. I was a little bewildered at first as I opened the lipstick and it was YELLOW I marked a little on my hand and then it changed to pale peach, the other lipstick was green and turned PINK and the 3rd one was black this turned to DAMSON..and it really does stay on all day ,it has a gentle lip stain. it is perfect, no running into the cracks around the mouth, just a natural look....I highly recommend it.

Thankyou, I've heard of this before but have never used it.
I'll have a looksee ;)

Interesting. How's the moisturizing effect? I'm not a fan of lipstick that will look dry after a few hours.

That's lovely to hear, celialillian! We're huge fans of lipstick over here so we're glad we could help you find the perfect lippy :-)

I'm 59, and always have a full face on! I must have 20 lipsticks now, and some of them never used. I'll try that one you suggest!

After seeing your piece about long staying lipsticks, I decided to look at the Superdrug site. It drove me mad. Every time I changed a page, up popped this advert, obliterating what I was reading. Why do sites do this?

I put a smear of lip gloss over my lipstick to prevent the dry look as the colour stain is still on my lips. The more you add the lipstick the longer the stain will stay on.

This sounds just what I'm looking for. By the sound of it there'll be a rush to various Superdrug stores throughout the UK grin!!!!!

And the other piece of good news, well I think so, is that all Barry M products are cruelty free.

Another fan of Barry M here - British brand, affordable, loads of fab colours, don’t use animals or animal products, and good quality.
