Have looked at M&S, Debenhams etc.

I bought a great brown leather bag from Next and use it all the time. I wear it across my body for easy carrying and it's big enough to fit most everyday things in plus extras sometimes, eg small umbrella, spare carrier bags, small grocery items when forgotten carrier bags. May not be best leather as cost about £35 I think. Most useful and attractive bag I've ever had I think.

eBay shops. Not secondhand but online eBay shops, if that makes sense. They are great.

Saskia58 me too have quite a collection all Christmas or birthday gifts but treasured. I always buy at sale time or Radley outlet they are made beautifully.
