For all you fashion conscious Grampy's out there ….

I've added 2 of my favourites- Grampy has a birthday coming up soon and I can see him in the cape , out walking the dog !!

Is it wrong to say I like my men to wear a well cut suit ?

grin grin grin

Perfect! Just the thing for that 'vital' job interview.

You would get the job too, looking like that, because it demonstrates that you must have determination and guts just to step out the front door.

Hoots!

I like the look of narrow trousers and no socks. My grandson looks really good that way...but it's for the young.

I am just sitting here trying to imagine DH in the bondage strap braces with underpants over his suit jacket. I think I’ll skip breakfast! He knows I have an absolute thing for good formal tailoring, but we had a conversation while sitting in GS’s school car park on Monday when a teacher came out wearing a three piece suit with a frill of shirt sticking out between the bottom of his straight edge waistcoat and a thick black belt that was holding up his trousers. I muttered. DH said “maybe he likes it that way. He wouldn’t poke his head through the car window and criticise what you wear!” In other words, if they want to look like **’s, let them!

Helennonotion Thu 10-Jan-19 09:21:07

NanaandGrampy - Much better! I just find the short trouser look ever so slightly comedic! MissAdventure - I suppose it wouldn't do if we all liked the same thing! Maybe I just need to get used to it! Its quite sexist really, making fun of the leg length. Women are at liberty to wear whatever length we like, without anyone giving us a second glance!

NanaandGrampy Wed 09-Jan-19 22:02:51

Lol no Helenonotion . And I’m with you on the whole lack of socks !!

I was thinking more this......

MissAdventure Wed 09-Jan-19 21:22:43

I quite like that look.

Helennonotion Wed 09-Jan-19 20:56:52

NanaandGrampy, I suspect you don't mean this style of well cut suit? I think its been a little too well cut on the leg! I cannot keep a straight face when I see a man wearing a suit like this and yes there are many nowadays! Mainly quite young men, thankfully! I'm not sure which is worse, The lack of socks or the cropped trousers! shock

FarNorth Wed 09-Jan-19 19:03:55

Would that be a reference to a BDSM harness, on the second guy?
I have no problem with flamboyant clothes on anyone who wants to wear them. The more the merrier.
(Less keen on BDSM stuff, tho.)

Grannybags Wed 09-Jan-19 15:51:06

If you bought him Mawbroon's outfit he might start buying his own Teetime!!

Teetime Wed 09-Jan-19 15:48:46

The 'beautiful people' have always pushed the boundaries of taste and style and they probably get these clothes loaned to them. DH is a very conservative dresser always to be found in black trousers and shirts if not prompted to find another shirt. If I didn't buy his clothes he would be naked.

lovebeigecardigans1955 Wed 09-Jan-19 15:30:12

My dear late husband would have laughed his socks off at these. Then add that he'd rather stick pins under his eyes than wear them.

MissAdventure Tue 08-Jan-19 22:21:18

grin

MawBroon Tue 08-Jan-19 22:18:44

I remember posting this last year I think.
Oo la la!

NanaandGrampy Tue 08-Jan-19 22:15:01

On second thoughts , that second one looks like he’s wearing reins you used to see on toddlers ?

He’s young but not that young lol

NanaandGrampy Tue 08-Jan-19 22:14:02

The second one lost me with the no sock look !! Lol

I don’t mind a bit of flamboyance but these made me giggle - not the effect they intended I suspect ! ???

EllanVannin Tue 08-Jan-19 20:21:28

Okay on Liberace or Danny la Rue.

Jalima1108 Tue 08-Jan-19 20:11:52

I think it would look better with shorts Chewbacca

DH has quite nice knees, considering his age grin

Chewbacca Tue 08-Jan-19 20:10:27

I think it's a nod to bondage Jalima. Or Tyrolean lederhosen.

Jalima1108 Tue 08-Jan-19 20:03:58

Ooh, love the jewel-encrusted cape!

What is the second picture supposed to be? Most peculiar.

Chewbacca Tue 08-Jan-19 19:37:06

Wearing clothes like that Maw? Yes!

MawBroon Tue 08-Jan-19 19:25:18

Do they get their own aisle then Chewbacca ? grin

BBbevan Tue 08-Jan-19 19:13:35

We are off on a cruise son. That looks just the thing for DH on Gala night. ?

sodapop Tue 08-Jan-19 19:02:27

Chewbacca Tue 08-Jan-19 18:56:46
