My hair if ok but my nails split and break off easily. I've tried a lot of oils , vitamins and . supliments . None of them made much difference but I've used ISDIN si nails and it's really made a huge difference. It's not the cheap but definitely works.

I rub oil into my nails every night and it has seemed to make them better. I bought it from a friend who does house parties for an organic beauty business. I’m reluctant to advertise it.

At the same time l’ve been taking Hair, skin and nails tablets, whatever the supermarket’s own brand is, the same contents as others, but cheaper. My hair is certainly not getting any finer and the nails are strong and no longer flaking.

I would be interested to see what advice you might receive ellie22
My nails are weak and one thumbnail has a vertical weak line which tends to split. Patons nail hardener certainly strengthens them though can make them brittle. I can’t seem to find anywhere which stocks it now so am looking for a substitute.

As for hair, my pride and joy is getting rather thin despite being on HRT for 30+ years. All suggestions welcome.

I had flaky nails at one point a few years ago and took a hair and nail tablet which did help. The HRT should help with the problem too.

Hi all, new to forum, am 55 and I am finding that my hair is becoming thinner, and my nails even weaker. I am on HRT ..started a month ago or so. Is there anything I can do to strengthen and thicken hair/nails which someone has used and can verify as have wasted money in the past on things which don't seem to make a difference! My hair has never been over thick but now even worse, probably not helped by lack of hairdresser! It is about shoulder length and coloured.
