I tend to wear that sometimes more than a foundation....I took a selfie with my little GD's. (Without make up) ....it was a close up......I gave myself a good look and thought 'God S , your looking pale and worn out ' ?...so I put my tinted moisturiser on and what a difference it made ...I had a 'healthy ' look again lol....I think I need to wear a tinted moisturiser every day not just when I feel like it.

Dr Haushka organic tinted moisturiser is lovely. Very moisturising too....

Oil of Olay tinted cc or bb cream goes on lovely, skin feels nice and it is just enough to even out your skin tone.

I completely agree with those who prefer tinted moisturiser to foundation but I bought Ester Lauder Double Wear Light on the recommendation of a friend and I’m really happy with it.

Estee!

I use M&S Autograph DD cream. It comes in several shades and gives good light coverage. Well priced too.

Laura Mercier. It’s fabulous.......

I use NARS. It has SPF 30 but no ‘whiteness’ to it like some SPF. Good coverage for my skin including red cheeks.

I don’t bother
Natural is best

Rosalyn69 Sun 16-Aug-20 17:42:43

Bare Minerals complexion rescue or L’Oreal water based.

Youngatheart51 Sun 16-Aug-20 17:55:04

I mix a little bit of self tan with my night time moisturiser. Must work as DH asked if I'd been sitting out in the sun!

Grandmama Sun 16-Aug-20 18:04:39

I stopped wearing foundation during the lockdown and haven't started using it again thinking it would rub off on my face mask which I wear only when it's obligatory. My skin tone is uneven and I definitely feel better with foundation. Do Gransnetters find foundation/tinted moisturisers rub off? My face masks are all cotton, home-made.

When I wear L'Oreal Paris RosyDay Cream I am complemented on how well I look!

Eloethan Sun 16-Aug-20 20:18:22

I used to use a Clarins tinted moisturiser years ago but they altered the product and it wasn't as good. I could never find another one I liked as much. I might try the Clarine self tan tip as supplied by seacliff. Thanks.

I’ve tried Estée Lauder tinted BB cream and a few others as well but I vastly prefer Olay Total Effects 7 in one CC tinted moisturiser. Just wish it had a higher SPF than 15.

Glenfinnan Sun 16-Aug-20 21:14:29

I don’t looked washed out without a tinted moisturiser or foundation I have the opposite problem too rosy/red. Tried green tinted cream but look ill! Any suggestions please

MrsChips Sun 16-Aug-20 22:49:36

I’ve used Olay Total Effects BB 7in1 tinted moisturiser for years now. I wait for it to be half price in Asda or Superdrug. It’s excellent.

My face is fine, it's my legs that need a tanned look.
I put a dress on ready to go out for lunch with friends.
Walking downstairs, DH said, "those tights are the wrong colour for that dress".
I wasn't wearing tights, it was my bare legs.
They hardly ever see the light of day as I live in trousers.

Clarins radiance-plus golden glow booster.
It's so good and it gives a natural tan.....I wouldn't be without it !

Eborian cc cream.
Amazing.....it evens out the little imperfections and I’m not very fussy but even I am impressed.
I have to admit that I used both that and a normal moisturizer.

I often use the Olay ‘Touch of Sun’ moisturiser, esp. in summer. It’s very subtle but certainly banishes any ‘grey and wan’ look. I suppose foundation might do the same but I hate the feel of that and never wear it.,

travelsafar Mon 17-Aug-20 08:17:51

I gave up using foundation some time ago now.

I feel i look better without it now i am older.

I use just a touch of mascara and my favourite lippie which i feel really gives a lift to my face. If not going out i dont bother at all.

So glad i can go without as during the recent heatwave it must have been awful having to have a full face of make up.

Another vote for Bare Minerals - and it’s cruelty free.

Another No 7 fan. City light tinted moisturiser. Medium for summer and light for winter. Just enough coverage to even out skin tone and it glides on smoothly. Protects from the sun and environmental damage. It doesn't accentuate lines and wrinkles like some heavier foundations often do. It's been my favourite for years.
