Hi, just wondering if anyone has any dresses from Gina Bacconi ?
Next year I will be mother of the bride and have seen some likely candidates on the Little Black Dress website
I'm an 18/20 top half and a 16 bottom half. Do I go up or down a size please?

In my experience they are fairly true to size.

One advantage of buying from the website is that you always have the option to return a garment.
I would check out their sizing guide and might be tempted to buy two “on spec”
You could always get a dressmaker to make minor adjustments if, for instance, fitting your “top half” means a generous fit round the hips.

I bought a couple of Gina Bacconi dresses about 5 years ago and had to go up a size. However, there was no stretch in the fabric. Also it does sometimes depend on the style of the dress too. Good luck!

I find them true to size

They are sold in John Lewis so if you can get to a branch it seems a good idea to try on in store.
They can also arrange alterations if you need them.

Thanks ladies, I've ordered this one:

Yes it's from John Lewis but I don't think that the changing rooms are open around here. (Leeds is my nearest branch)
