They're back!

Hello all, good wishes to you.

Had a long awaited waxing session last Saturday, brows, upperlip and blush chin.

Oh the joy of having eyebrows that look tidy again, albeit that a clutch of grey ones couldn't be removed as it would have left an empty space confused

BUT here we are on Friday night, and if I run my fingers over my chin, I'm sure I can feel the beginnings of sprouting hairs!

In fact, if I concentrate, I'm sure I can actually feel the little devils forcing their way through my skin!

Sigh.

Tweezers at the ready then

phoenix Fri 21-Aug-20 22:13:33

Oopsadaisy they aren't "tweezerable* yet, but I've got my eye on them!

They grow tweezerable when you're out for the day, and you happen to feel one of them, like a broom bristle.

I want to know how those little blighters can suddenly appear on my chin half an inch long? They must pop out overnight ?

CanadianGran Fri 21-Aug-20 22:26:08

Oh, those awful chin hairs! I do a check with good lighting a couple of times a week, but am amazed when i see a longer one and wonder how long it has been there!

As for eyebrows, I am lucky. Minimal shaping required, and even though I am greying, the brows are staying brown for now.

I feel your pain.

They must pop out overnight
They do, or in the day.

I think they like the warm weather.

I have a Germaine Greer book (currently under my bed - the book, not the woman) where she writes of a video taken at someone's wedding.
The brides mum can be seen throughout the day, anxiously checking her chin for hairs.

I'm fortunate that I still have eyebrows, and every one that has ever done them has commented on what a good natural shape they are, but I do get loads of stragglers!

Plus the hairs across the bridge of my nose blush

MissAdventure Fri 21-Aug-20 22:43:35

My mum always told me never to trust a man whose eyebrows met in the middle.

I can't recall what her advice was about women with the same issue. wink

I’ve got an appointment on Tuesday next week to have my brows sorted out. I can’t wait.

My eyebrows don't meet in the middle, I just have a few random hairs between them

If desperate a quick scrape with a razor will take care of moustache and chin bristles and will do no long term harm.

For longer lasting relief only the removal of the root suffices, so plucking, waxing, sugaring, threading, epilating, laser, electrolysis etc.

Why are we women so paranoid about natural facial hair? (Myself included?)
