Bought myself one today on the advice of my daughter! I absolutely love it and it will go with so many things. Makes me feel young and trendy again! I’m 66 and a size 14! Anyone else got one?
I bought a lovely pale pink one in Sainsbury’s last year. It’s great and looks lovely over summer dresses. Sad to say, I haven’t worn it this year as Ihaven’t been going out, due to the virus. I’m 77 by the way.
My Auntie wore a leather flying jacket with sheepskin collar to her 90th birthday party and looked fab. You're never too old to wear what you want. Life's too short to be a fuddy duddy. I've got a blue denim jacket, love it, goes with anything, and bought a white one a few weeks ago.
I've got two denim jackets. I've had one of them for a while so I use that for going shopping etc and I've just bought another from Next. I did have a khaki one but went off the colour so sold it on ebay. You're never too old for denim. I'm almost 66 and not ready for the pearls and twin-sets yet.
Aepgirl. Check out QVC. They have a good choice. And most of them have loads of stretch though look like the traditional ones. Check out the faux suede /leather biker jackets too. An ageing rock chick’s (me) paradise ??. Seriously. They are brill !
I have a pink and a navy one. Beats cardigans. I also have a denim type shirt that doubles as a jacket. I am also wearing a denim shirt from the white company, was quite expensive, but it has been worn to death!
I've never worn jeans so there's no chance of a jacket. I'm not into anything that doesn't cover the behind either even though I'm slim, it's just that I've always liked" long" in what I wear------long sleeves, long jumpers.
I am a great believer in people wearing what makes them feel good. After all we are only here once! Notwithstanding that, I personally don’t like light denim after about 45. A little dark denim or even a lot of black denim works well, but not light denim. That is just my opinion though and it’s not for me to tell others to abide by it.
Pussycat2012, I'm going to be 56 in November. I don't ever imagine a time when I won't have one. They really do look great on any age group and have never gone out of fashion.
Right that me decided, I am going to get a denim jacket but not a pink one as pink doesn't suit me. I have been thinking about it for some time but I haven't seen anyone around my age, 73, wearing one but now I don't care.
I've 3 denim jackets in different styles/shades and I think they look great over jeans and tee shirt or a casual dress in spring summer and autumn. Its not really warm enough for bitterly cold winds though. I think denim has been around so long it counts as 'classic'. Although blue does not normally suit me, dark blue denim seems to act like a neutral, as it seems to go with most other colours . I do agree however that 'double denim' is not a good look. It rarely works. I see this more often on men than women though.
I’ve got 2, one short and a darker longer one- I’m 70, never too old to be stylish. My mother is 93 and wears white jeans and a denim jacket, she’s a size 10 and looks amazing in all her clothes.
