A good hairdresser in derby/shire?

I wondered if anyone can recommend a hairdresser in derby or Derbyshire who is good a cutting curly wavy hair. My old hairdresser has retired during lockdown and I thought I’d found a good one from my local Facebook page but my hair doesn’t seem to sit right and it’s a bit uneven at the back. I think perhaps the hairdresser layered it too much so I look like I’ve a hat on my heard.

Any recommendations for someone who will listen and can cut well and has a creative approach. Thanks ?

You may have more luck if you post this on a local Facebook or Next door forum.

Thanks Lullydully I’ve already posted on Facebook as mentioned in my post, but I noticed an earlier post asking for recommendations or a hairdresser in Oxford got responses so thought I’d try asking here just in case

Sally Montague? Her salons have a very good reputation. The flagship salon is opposite the Cathedral.

Thanks FannyCornforth I’ve heard mixed reports of Sally Montague Salons. I know somewhere who is suing them too.

Oh! Blimey!
They must have gone down the pan somewhat!
If I were you, as a fellow wavy/curly type, I'd ring a place with several branches (like SM) and ask if they have a stylist who specialises in your type of hair.

Yes, it seems so. That’s a good idea - someone suggested Alfred’s in Derby - do you know of him?
