Removing glasses isn’t just helpful when looking in the mirror. I also find it perfect for avoiding dusting. If you can’t see it.....

Forgot to say I have many a time bumped into an old girl at the shops nearly walking into mirrors. I need my glasses updating just don't want to go the opticians.

I would look in the mirror with pride lovely curly red hair bright eyes. Now it's a snowy vixen looking back at me! Gone are the days when I looked similar to Lucille Ball so I do avoid mirrors.

I haven't replaced the mirror in the en suite yet, so no longer am I greeted by Jilly Cooper, Camilla or Germaine Greer, (all to do with the Hair).

Last year I moved out of the way of the old woman coming towards me in a shop then realised I was looking at my own reflection.

For some reason, having been quite clearly Hall predictive text changed it to Hallmark!

I’ll second that Lucretzia. I don’t have a grey hair or wrinkle if I remove the glasses before looking in a mirror. Occasionally I pass an unexpected mirror and for some reason there’s always an ugly old crone watching me. No idea who she might be.

We have a full length mirror in the hallmark it is so unflattering that I use it as a yardstick. Having seen my reflection, If I could go out without (As Queen Victoria once said) frightening the horses, I’ll take that. I would like to know when I turned into the old woman in the mirror though.

I would rather not look in a mirror at all, unless out of sheer necessity!

Quite agree. I find I like a mirror in my bedroom and think "that's not too bad" but go in the downstairs loo and think
"oh dear"
