Ours have labelled 'piggy banks' for us to put the cash in, so it is 'quarantined'. Otherwise, ask them to add it to the bill.

I never tip the hairdresser

Our hairdresser is able to add the tip but keep it separate.

Add the amount to your card payment.

I don't tip hairdressers as I consider them professionals and feel it is a bit demeaning to them. I wouldn't tip others like dentists or nurses for the same reason.

I've been paying with a card for years now. I ask them to add an extra tenner or whatever when paying.

Like many of you I am delighted to be having my long-awaited hair appointment on Wednesday -just can't wait! I went today for a colour test to ensure there are no serious reactions post Covid/jabs, as some reports suggest there may be a small risk of a reaction. My question really relates to whether we can/should tip our hairdresser when we are cashless in the salon and leaving a cash tip may raise an unwelcome risk. I always find tipping a bit awkward as it is, never sure how much, and this will just make it more of question - any advice please!
