I'm posting this somewhere ironically in the 'Style and Beauty' forum because these things are not stylish or beautiful. HOWEVER, they are clothing so...

Has anyone got one of these that is very large and roomy, closed at the front and also long length? I really want something that comes to about ankle length.

Something like these?
Have a look at QVC U.K.
Try searching under Relaxed Fit Lounger (I am sure other brands are available!)

I thought she meant something more like this

Yes, I think the 2nd one is nearer what I'd like. Someone posted a pic of one in a different thread (can't find it now). I really liked it BUT I need a longer length. My legs get cold!

They had Silentnight Snugsies on sale in Tesco yesterday for £10, they have a foot pocket in.

At the beginning of first lockdown I treated myself to a lovely, but expensive, long fleece dressing gown from David Napier. I bought a slightly larger and longer length one for my size and it's brilliant. Much more practical than the blanket things. Here's a link-https://www.davidnieper.co.

I bought the emerald green wrapover one.

I've got an Oodie, and it's great. It's not long length (about knee length), but I think they do longer ones - I got mine a while ago and they've really taken off since then.

What I would say is that a long one might be difficult when you go to the loo. There is a lot of fabric to bunch up, as it's so thick because of the fleece.

Do you mean one of these?

A friend of mine had one of these with a foot pocket. Lovely and cosy but please take care. She got up and forgot she had her feet in the pocket and went flying. Luckily onlysuffered just a few bruises but has now removed the foot pocket.

My DGDs bought me one for Christmas, it’s pink velour with a fleece lining, with a hood and comes to mid calf, a bit like a big pink bag!
It’s very useful for the nights when I wake and come downstairs, it costly covers everything and these no danger of tripping. Goodness knows what I look like - no comment.

I’m of ‘compact’ height so all these things are long on me grin

I had to get rid of a lovely velvety fleece dressing gown because it kept tripping me up. I stood on the hem, worst when going upstairs.

Love Oodies❤️ I quite like JackyB’s second example, but unless I could choose the length, it would trail in the floor when I stand up.

I have a fleecy onesie. I love it. Yes it's a bit of a pain going to the loo but it is much better than a dressing gown as it keeps my legs cosy.

I would heartily recommend my 100% pyrean wool dressing gown. Expensive at time of purchase but now negated by the fact that it is over 40 years old and wonderful. Bought it direct from France but have researched it to a company in Cheltenham called Joyce Brooks. Think the original brand was Grande Marques. Good luck with whatever you choose.
