Trousers that fit

The pull- on jeans from Damart are a great fit and decent quality. They are suitable only for people who wear their tops over the waist band, as they are elasticated all round. They are a genuine inner leg 25 inches.

PS I just received denim 'jeans' from Damart and have not yet tried them on as I need more tea before doing so. They are 25 inch legs, stretchy, and pull-on, and get very good customer reviews.

I'm going to try men's jeans. Those have wide waists in proportion to the hip and leg width, and body rise.

Most makes of womens’ trousers are still doing the fake pockets grrrrr!

Pricey but I love Rohan trousers.

I buy most of mine from peacocks and next. Peacocks are cheap , comfortable and long. Next are mainly for harem pants, not the hippy dropped crotch ones but more like trackies but in Jersey and no elastic around the ankle.

I’m a dog walker. So I’d like to find some half elasticated narrow legged comfortable trousers. I’ve got size 14 hips but have a size 16 waist! Most walking trousers that I but have to be taken in because of the too wide leg! Would love it if anyone could suggest a firm that sells these! I agree M&S trousers are horrible!

I dread buying trousers, too long, too short and nowadays the waists and fit are just horrendous. I don't know what happened to M&S trousers but they are awful now.

I’d like some that are not wide legged but still fit over my hips and thighs.

I'd like some that don't seem to shrink with age!

Ah, I always wear straight leg, anything wider and they flap around my ankles and cause me to trip up.

Monica, I had a look at Land's End trousers , but I also want wide leg.

Caleo do you mean ones that don’t come up to your armpits a la Simon Cowell?

Exactly ! Grandmarderby.

I buy my 'dropped' waist trousers, (which fit me comfortably round the waist) from Lands End, but they are quite expensive.

Ordinary chain store 'regular' fit trousers, for me, are a comfortable fit under the arm pits.

Does anyone know where to buy trousers that are 'low rise' (not long in the body)?

Bonmarche makes that sort of fit, but BonMarche styles are dull and fabrics sometimes not very attractive.
