I feel your pain. You might possibly find the discontinued items on eBay. Some firms buy up end of line products and sell them there. I found a discontinued lipstick that I wanted there once. Brand new, perfectly good.

Thank you Germanshepherdsmum. Had a quick look on Amazon as I was ordering a couple of other things and found the blusher and the nail polish - result!!

I'm finding this too, especially with shades of nail polish. I suppose they expect everyone to use Gel or get their nails done at a salon so have limited their range.

Try the gel. It's much harder wearing than normal varnish. I like it.

I get really cross when this happens; a face powder I had used for years - Corn Silk - was discontinued and there is nothing else like it - it kept my skin looking perfect all day. Now my Number 7 mousse makeup has been discontinued too. I switched to a different foundation of the same shade and looked like Rodney after he had been under the sun bed in 'Only Fools'. Had to take that back and get a lighter shade, only to find it became orange too within about half an hour of applying. Why do manufactueres discontinue items that are selling well?

I wonder why? I heard that it was exactly the same stuff as Chanel.

Mind you, I haven’t worn makeup for over two years, with the exception of my Nan’s funeral.
Which is quite something, as I have worn it most days from the age of 15.
