Skin Creams

I have used Oil of Ulay (now Olay) on my face and neck for as long as I can remember, probably 40 years or so. I was 74 recently and have hardly any wrinkles. Many other problems obviously.

SP 50 for the face every day rain or shine is your best defence for anti ageing. A cheap moisturiser is also in my opinion just as effective as the expensive ones

I used to spend a small fortune on Clarins creams. I now use pump operated Cetaphil moisturising lotion which costs about £10 but lasts months and months. it seems to suit my skin and people tell me my skin looks good for my age!

I've used Elemis for years comes in a few types for different skin types.My OH knowing my love of good skincare bought me a box of Perricone creams and lotions for my last birthday and although I liked it there wasn't a visible difference.I did reorder the eye cream and the pore reducing toner though as they are very good

She says she does but I don’t think it’s all she uses!

After years of using different moisturising creams , reacting itchily to most , I've discovered the best all over, including the face, is QV cream , free on prescription !

I use superdrug vitamin E skin cream on face. it has spf15 and is 24 hour moisturiser.. £3. for body I use Hydromol on legs sometimes and also 'childs farm' moisturiser on body.

I’ve been using Look Fabulous Forever skincare for the last few months and it suits my skin. It’s not cheap but definitely not the most expensive out there and it’s specifically formulated for older skin.

Thanks both. It seems we agree. I decided to try the fancy ones, spent a few bob 'because I'm worth it' but I think Nivea and a basic Olay cream do just as well.

I too have tried lots of creams over the years but I tend to also use Simple products and a night cream from Lidl I think it’s £3.99 I see no difference from the the expensive pots.

I'm in the same boat Sidelined I have a big basket full of creams that promise miracles. This year I bought the 'brown marks' cream along with the moisturiser and night cream - I took a picture of my skin before I started it and after using it for 6 months - nothing changed 😩. When I initially started the cream I reacted to it and used Simple moisturiser to slowly introduce the stronger one - I'm sticking to Simple from now on, it's cheaper and it works 😂
