Miracle Balm - Anyone tried it?

I keep getting adverts on face book for Miracle Balm by Jones Road [Bobbie Brown}. It's not a foundation, more like a colour wash and the results look very impressive and natural. I usually use lots of Clinique moisturiser and a bit of Bobbie Brown's blusher in a tawny shade topped with a smidgen of Clinique's Chubby stick in a rosy shade. I never use foundation or powder and aim at still looking like me but a bit brighter than when I woke up. I'm quite intrigued by the Miracle Balm but it is very expensive and I just wondered if anyone had tried it. I'd like to see it for sale in a shop but haven't found one yet that sells Jones Road.

Family member and friends gave this and are very happy.
I will have a look next time I am in Liberty’s

GrannyGravy13 Thu 23-May-24 20:56:02

Oops sorry Liberty’s in London is the only retail outlet in UK at the moment. It’s available online.

Coincidentally I was looking at this a few weeks ago and couldn’t decide if I should buy.
Decided against it after looking at TrustPilot reviews. Quite a few likened it to putting Vaseline on your face. One even said that the only miracle was that people actually bought it!
If you find anything that gives a glow to the skin, please report back 😁

What about La Mer? I won their treatment lotion and moisturiser in a sort of quiz. Each would cost over £100. I thought I might as well use them and that has made me more careful about following a proper routine. Still wrinkly, though, and only surgery would cure the way my face is collaping downwards.
Has anyone else used La Mer?

La Mer is lovely but horrendously expensive. I had some of their moisturiser years ago, bought duty free.

If you want a natural glow, YorkLady, have you tried Clarins Beauty Flash Balm?

I think I might need to wait until a weekend in London beckons. At that price I'd really need to try out a few different shades.
I understand the comment on the similarity to vaseline. All the models do seem to have quite shiny faces. I'm quite happy with my routine at the moment but if someone here had given the balm a "glowing" review I might have risked it.

I’ve just looked it up, it’s a very good price. Do you use it? If yes, 1) how long does a tube last, 2) does it work for sensitive skin? So many creams bring my face out in blotches or rashes! I currently use Clinique.

Yes, I do use Beauty Flash Balm if I’m looking too pasty (I have pale skin), so usually in winter and spring. A little goes a long way so a tube lasts a good while. I probably buy it once, maybe twice a year. I have never had skin problems with it, whereas Nivea always gives me spots!

Thank you. I’m very “rosy” so wondering if it’s not for me? Though my skin also looks tired and dull too, so maybe it’s worth a try!

Perhaps worth visiting the Clarins counter, I expect they would give you a sample. It may not be right for you if you already have a rosy complexion, but do try a sample if you can. It makes me look alive and well rather than in need of a holiday!

Thanks for the recommendation. It’s on my list to buy this weekend. Looked at a few YouTube videos regarding Jones Road versus Clarins and I think the Beauty Flash Balm looks superior.

Great idea! I’ll do just that. Thanks GSM

I use Pixi Rose blush (or maybe flash) quite a bit since my skin seems to be as white as my hair. Glad to have the reminder of Claris Beauty Flash. I like their stuff but everything always seems to be unavailable online.

If I wear my L'Oreal Age Perfect Golden Age Rosy Glow day cream, I very often get told how well I look. It just imparts a small gleam of colour.

Germanshepherdsmum Fri 24-May-24 15:08:06

If I use the BFF I apply primer over it to make my skin matte as I don’t like a shiny look, which emphasises any lines.

Rosiebee Thu 30-May-24 14:13:28

This is a lovely cream. It just takes that tired look off my face.

Rosiebee Thu 30-May-24 14:14:40

I was referring to the Age Perfect Rosy Glow.

Georgesgran Thu 30-May-24 14:20:34

The Age Perfect Rosy Glow makes my face look as if it’s covered in brick dust.
I like Elemis - usually from QVC

Janiepops Thu 30-May-24 14:32:02

I used Miracle Balm Rosiebee. I find it sticky, hours after application, so got three quarters of a tub gathering dust 😵‍💫
Also used Crème de lar Mar,for about a year. Can’t remember being impressed, as I didn’t carry on!!!

harrysgran Thu 30-May-24 16:07:15

I thought Jones balm expensive so I use revolution balm glow very similar I use over a tinted moisturiser

AreWeThereYet Thu 30-May-24 16:56:13

I'm just trying out the Revolution Miracle Cream - seems to have lots of good reviews. I've only just started using it and only using the night cream so far so no judgements yet. Except it is slightly perfumy, which I don't like.

AreWeThereYet Thu 30-May-24 16:57:59

Ooops, sorry, just realised you are not talking about a moisturizer blush
