One wayward wave!

I’ve had my hair cut into a short bob and I really like it… apart from one unruly curl on one side! No matter how I blow dry it … it’s still there the next day! Any tips?

Go back to your hairdresser and see what they say?

Yes I’ve done that and when she blow dries it … it’s fine! But I have what a call a ‘birds wing ‘ when I do it!!!

Mmmn. I'd use lots of a good "product" to glue it in place!
What does the salon use?

How annoying!

My hair is the same. You could try putting in a large roller. I have to do that sometimes. Also, in between washing my hair I wet my hair thoroughly and then blow dry /use the roller. As my hair is fine products don't help, they just make the hair look flat after a day.

Thank you Aldom I’ll give that a try!!

If that’s what your hair naturally wants to do, I would either tuck that side behind your ear, or tuck the other straight side behind your ear and have a wavy look at the other.

I have a natural strong curl just on one side. I have some heated hair straighteners specifically for it! I use them after drying my hair and the curl stays straight until I next wash my hair.

Presumably this wayward curl wasn't evident before you had your hair cut short?
If so you might find that as your hair grows a bit longer, the weight of it will tame this curl.
My hair "hangs" better when it's not too short.
Shame if so, as you like your new style, but unless you can go to the salon every time it needs blow-drying you need to find a way to manage it that you're happy with at home 😕

Straighteners are the answer. I couldn’t live without mine.

I have the same problem. I seem to spend more time on that whisp of blooming hair than all the rest.

I too have this issue, hair straighteners!

Parsley3 Sun 21-Jul-24 10:36:07

My hair is the same. Hair straighteners are your friend.

Can I just say I do love the title of this thread.

Very poetic!
