Epilators: are newer models any better than an ancient one?

I have a very old (c.20 years+) Phillips 'Satinelle ice premium' epilator and am wondering if a new model would be any better - or are they just the same?

Has anyone used a recent, new model epilator and can compare to previous ones? Not necessarily the model above of course, any comparisons would be useful. If so, could you please let me know?

Additionally, if anyone has bought and used an epilator recently, I would be very interested to know their thoughts on the product as I am thinking of buying a new one.

I don't believe that the basic technology would have changed much (ripping out hair!) but there may well be subtle changes that improve the product and experience.

Many thanks if you can help.

PS
I can't see any up to date information on epilators, hence this new post.

Candelle in my opinion no. They are all made in China, and it appears that the same or similar products are sold in various stores.

Over the years, I have bought different varieties, but I think I wasted my money and should have returned them.

Slightly controversial but I use my husband's razor! 😊

I’ve had a Braun Silk Epil for a couple of years. It’s not in the least flimsy, it’s solid and well made.

It has an epilator and shaver attachment , it lights up to show easily hairs you’re epilating or any you’ve missed.
