HOSIERY FOR THE FULLER FIGURE

I'm a dress size 22 so no slim jim, and I'm having difficulty in tinding tights to fit. I'm 5 ft 5 ins tall (sorry, but I don't do metric!) and whilst there are tights on the market for my size the waist is never high enough . When I put tights on the waistband very rarely reaches my belly button and where it does, the back of the waistband barely reaches the crease in my bottom. I therefore have to visit the ladies restroom to pull my tights up to a suitable level otherwise the whole waistband ends up around my crotch level and I'm worried lest the tights fall down.

I'm therefore considering going back to old fashioned stockings and suspenders, and whilst it's not too difficult to buy a suspender belt in my size I'm worried about stockings not being long enough in the leg or not having a stretchy top to fit round my thighs.

I have tried Cosyfeet for fuller-figure tights but I believe they're having probems with their supplier so I've not been able bo buy suitable tights for a few months now. Their tights are a perfect fit - WHEN available ! - and whilst I do have some thick winter-weight tights from Cosyfeet I don't want to be stuck with wearing these in the warmer weather!

Holdups are out of the question, because I tried them once in the late 1960's and the stocking tops ended just above my knees - not practical in the days of very short mini skirts!
